An oil portrait captures the delicate balance of a unique moment in time and timelessness itself. In a society based on impermanence, it is an enduring legacy to the subject and a lasting but vivid work of art to those who take it in.

Amy Dudash Robinson has developed her approach to portraiture not with outdated notions of propriety and decor, but with a modern eye. Her goal is to capture the essence that each individual brings to light at that moment, and turns the sessions into fun, adventurous journeys that allow the subject to relax into the creative process. Using personal effects, natural light and creative input, the resulting portrait reflects the combination of the artistic eye with the personality and grace of the individual. In the end, an unexpected treasure is unearthed and the delicate balance reveals itself.
